Their story—growing from a small pop-up cart into a full-fledged shop with a space that reflects who they are—is inspiring. Their coffee doesn’t just taste good; it tells a story. And their commitment to community is just as strong, supporting those affected by the Palisades Fires in Los Angeles and uplifting the local migrant community.

Their infectious warmth and welcome shaped the direction of the photography. I also wanted to highlight the interior design of the space, since it’s one of RUTINA’s true centerpieces—soft textures, thoughtful details, and an atmosphere that instantly feels like home. Those design elements, paired with their essence of comfort, became key in capturing who RUTINA is.

For owners Melanie and Sandy, the mission is more than serving a cup of coffee—it’s about creating a community where stories are shared. I had the privilege of contributing to that story and to the world they’re building at RUTINA.
